Some science programs give kids a "taste" of science, exposing them to an idea here and there. Instead of giving kids "appetizers", ATOM Science Club gives them the full meal. Rather than focusing on "whiz-bang, wow" demonstrations, ATOM Science Club provides kids with a solid foundation in the principles of science through a year-round, academically oriented program. According to the popular ad campaign, "reading is fundamental." But these days, science is also fundamental. In the 21st century, we need to move beyond the 3Rs and also provide a solid foundation in science starting at the elementary school level.
Through this exciting adventure club, children will scientifically discover the incredible connection between atoms, molecules, living organisms, and our universe We do this by studying chemistry (specifically atoms), physics (the forces), biology (life study), and astronomy (the universe). By developing this scientific foundation early in life, kids build a solid understanding of science and a love of learning that will stay with them for a lifetime.
When your child participates in ATOM Science Club, they will experience a unique blend of:
Science club members meet once a week for one and a half hours during the academic year between September and May. Science club campers meet from 9AM through 3PM (extended hours to 5PM sometimes available) for week long summer camps June through September.
ATOM Science Club conducts academic adventures for kids ages 5 through 12 in the Peninsula of the San Francisco Bay Area. Do you want to start your own club? I will come to your location for a minimum of eight members.
